Stumbled on the idea to use this song as title for the painting. I guess it is appropriate in a way. All relationships are founded by symbiosis. It is the need and the filling up of this mutual need for one another that we can feel the connection to the other individual. Usually it is the ending of this symbiosis that leads to a change in the status of relationships.

“You held my hand when it was cold
When I was lost you took me home
You gave me hope when I was at the end
And turned my lies back into truth again
You even called me “friend”.
You Needed Me, Lyrics Ann Murray

Interesting Mary Magdalene Facts:
She became Jesus’ close friend. She was most prominent during his last days. When Jesus was crucified by the Romans, Mary Magdalene was there supporting him in his final terrifying moments and mourning his death. She stayed with him at the cross after the male disciples (except John the Beloved) had fled. She was at his burial. She is the only person to be listed in all four Gospels as first to realize that Jesus had risen and to testify to that central teaching of faith. John 20 and Mark 16:9 specifically name her as the first person to see Jesus after his Resurrection. She was there at the “beginning of a movement that was going to transform the West”.
