Two multi-colored paintings of a woman figure in the rain. Her red umbrella gets caught in the wind. She challenges the weather with her umbrella.
Large raindrops swirl around, and her dress is wet. The wet dress is transluence against her body. She is graceful, and although she is fighting the elements, she looks like she is dancing.
The weather adds a dimension to the subject. Painting rain is done with simple brushstrokes deftly applied to the final layers of paint. Gradients of magenta, yellow and ultramarine are the colors used to fill the background.
